Handicap Cart Policy
Widow's Walk Golf Course has established a policy for all guests who wish to request a "Handicapped Flag" for display on their golf cart. This flag will alert the "Course Ranger" of special privileges that have been granted to this cart operator for the day.
The following information or documentation must be presented at the Golf Shop prior to being issued a "Handicapped Flag". This information will allow for his/her name to be placed on a list, thereby eliminating the need to show documentation each time that he/she plays. For temporary injury-related situations, a date will be attached and the client will be responsible for notifying Widow's Walk when their status changes.
A VALID HANDICAPPED PLACARD ISSUED IN THE NAME OF THE GUEST BY
THE REGISTRY OF MOTOR VEHICLES OF ANY STATE.
DOCUMENTATION OF DISABILITY MUST BE PRESENTED ON A PHYSICIAN'S OFFICIAL LETTERHEAD.
Players qualifying for a "Handicapped Flag" may drive their carts no closer than 30 feet from any tee or green and must keep carts out of "Environmental Areas" and tree lined "Naturalized Areas". Handicap flags may not be allowed on days of extreme conditions. This decision will be made by the manager and course superintendent.
